Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. cups all-purpose flour
  2. one egg
  3. one teaspoon dried active yeast
  4. one tablespoon powdered sugar
  5. half cup lukewarm water
  6. one fourth Cup butter
  7. half teaspoon baking powder
  8. half teaspoon white vinegar
  9. 2 tablespoon corn flour
  10. for sugar syrup
  11. half cup hot water
  12. one tablespoon cardamom powder
  13. 1 cup water
  14. 2 Cup sugar

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1/2 CUP LUKEWARM WATER AND ADD 1 TBSP POWDERED SUGAR AND 1 TSP ACTIVE DRIED YEAST AND KEEP ASIDE FOR PROOFING (10 MINUTES)
  2. MAKE A WELL IN 2CUPS OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR AND ADD 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER, 1/2 TSP VINEGAR, 1/4 CUP MELTED BUTTER
  3. ADD 1 EGG YOLK AND KEEP THE EGG WHITE ASIDE FOR LATER USE
  4. MIX NICELY
  5. ADD THE YEAST MIXTURE AND MIX
  6. KNEAD TO A SOFT DOUGH
  7. GREASE IT A LITTLE WITH OIL
  8. KEEP ASIDE COVERED FOR 30 MINUTES
  9. IN 1/2 CUP HOT WATER ADD 1 TBSP CARDAMOM POWDER AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 10 MINUTES
  10. FOR SUGAR SYRUP: IN A WOK ADD 1 CUP WATER AND 2 CUPS SUGAR
  11. LET THE MIXTURE BOIL FOR 3 TO 4 MINUTES, NOW ADD THE STRAIN CARDAMOM WATER
  12. AGAIN LET IT BOIL FOR 2 MINUTES
  13. OUR SUGAR SYRUP IS READY, WE DONT HAVE TO MAKE ANY STRING SUGAR SYRUP
  14. NOW TAKE THE DOUGH, IT HAS BECOME LITTLE SOFT, KNEAD IT AGAIN FOR TWO MINUTES
  15. ON YOUR CLEAN COUNTER SPRINKLE SOME CORN FLOUR AND KNEAD THE DOUGH
  16. DIVIDE IT INTO 2 PARTS
  17. CUT THE FLOWER SHAPES OF ALL SIZES AND KEEP ASIDE
  18. KEEP THEM COVERED
  19. NOW TAKE THE BIGGEST FLOWER AND PUT SOME EGG WHITE OVER THE TOP AND PLACE THE OTHER BIGGER FLOWER ON TOP OF THAT
  20. PRESS IT GENTLY AND REPEAT THE SAME PROCESS AND PLACE THE SMALLER FLOWER AND THEN THE SMALLEST ONE
  21. NOW STUCK AN ALMOND ON TOP BY PRESSING IT GENTLY
  22. MAKE ALL THE FLOWERS FROM THE SECOND PART ALSO IN SIMILAR WAY AND KEEP THEM COVERED
  23. HEAT ENOUGH OIL FOR DEEP FRYING
  24. FRY THE READY COOKIES
  25. FRY THEM ON LOW TO MEDIUM HEAT FOR 4 TO 5 MINUTES SO THAT THEY ARE PROPERLY COOKED FROM INSIDE
  26. FLIP THEM WHEN GOLDEN IN COLOUR AND FRY FROM OTHER SIDE TOO
  27. FLIP THEM GENTLY
  28. TAKE THEM OUT ON A NAPKIN AND PUT THEM IN THE READY SUGAR SYRUP
  29. DONT KEEP THEM IN SYRUP FOR LONG, 2-3 SECONDS WILL BE ENOUGH
