Frozen yoghurt is a frozen dessert made with yoghurt. This is a fantastic dessert, if made with home made yoghurt and also a perfect summer dessert for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Ingredients for jamuns
  2. Milk powder - 1 cup
  3. Maida - ¼ cup
  4. Ghee or oil - 1 tsp
  5. 1 to 2 tbsp yogurt - 1 ½ tbsps
  6. Ingredients for the sugar syrup
  7. Water - 2 cups
  8. Sugar - 1 ½ cups
  9. Powdered cardamoms - 3 nos
  10. Rose water - 1tsp
  11. INGREDIENTS FOR STRAWBERRY FROZEN YOGURT
  12. Thick yogurt - 2 cups
  13. Honey - ½ cup
  14. Strawberries - 500 grams
  15. Fresh cream - ½ cup
  16. Fresh cottage cheese - ¼ cup
  17. For Garnishing:
  18. Few cherries.

Instructions

  1. Method for preparing sugar solution
  2. In a pan mix water, sugar, in a medium flame and allow it to boil for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add cardamom powder and rose water and keep aside.
  4. Method for preparing jamuns
  5. Mix the milk powder,maida in a bowl and add oil or ghee and1 tbsp of yogurt.
  6. If the dough is dry then add some yogurt.
  7. Make smooth small balls from the dough, lightly flatten it and cut it with the heart shape cutter.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the heart shaped jamoons till golden colour in a medium flame.
  9. Remove the fried jamoons in a slotted spoon and add It to the hot sugar syrup
  10. Let them soak in the sugar syrup for minimum two hours.
  11. Keep it in refregirator and allow it to chill for sometime.
  12. Hearty gulab jamuns are ready to serve with the strawberry frozen yogurt.
  13. Method for making Strawberry Yogurt
  14. Blend strawberries and honey to a smooth paste, stain it and keep aside.
  15. Blend yoghurt, fresh cream, fresh cottage cheese in a mixer and add the straw berry puree and mix it well.
  16. Pour this mixture in heart shaped moulds and freeze for four to five hours or until firm.
  17. Take out the frozen strawberry curd from the freezer and top it with hearty sweety jamoons and garnish with cherries.
  18. Serve this cool frozen yoghurt with jamoons for your valentine and make a special valentine’s day.
