Oatmeal Shortcakes

Ingredients to make Oatmeal Shortcakes

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup Golden Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Cold Diced Unsalted Butter
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar

How to make Oatmeal Shortcakes

  1. Line baking sheet and pre heat your oven at 220C.
  2. Combine well all the ingredients except butter and milk. Make a coarse mixture by rubbing cold butter.
  3. Add milk until the mixture starts to hold shape. Divide into 6-12 portions and pat roughly to form circular shape.
  4. Sprinkle sugar on top and bake for 20 minutes.

Cold Butter makes it all better
