Baked Aloo Bonda

Ingredients to make Baked Aloo Bonda

  • potato stuffing- 3/4 cup
  • besan flour -1/2 cup
  • Rice flour- 2 tblsp
  • turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • salt as needed
  • chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Hing/asafoetida-1 pinch
  • baking soda -1 pinch
  • oil for spraying

How to make Baked Aloo Bonda

  1. In a bowl add besan flour/ kadalai maavu, rice flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder,hing, baking soda and salt. Make a thick paste with water.
  2. Make balls out of the potato stuffing .Dip the balls in the besan flour mixture and line them in a greased baking tray. Spray little oil on top too.
  3. Bake at 375 F for 25 minutes (in toaster oven).Since every oven differs, keep an eye at last 5 minutes. So that we don't get brown bondas.
  4. Serve hot with chutney
