Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. raw rice one cup
  2. Jaggery half cup
  3. Cardamom powder a little bit
  4. Water half cup
  5. Water required to soak rice
  6. Oil required to fry

Instructions

  1. Soak rawrice in water for one hour
  2. After one hour drain the water and let the Rice dry for one & half hour
  3. Now grind the rice using a mixer grinder into fine rice flour & set it aside
  4. Then break the jaggery into small pieces and make it into fine powder
  5. Add one fourth cup of water to the jaggery and mix it well
  6. Then let it boil and then drain the impurities
  7. Now add the jaggery to the rice flour and make it into a soft dough
  8. Let it sit for three hours
  9. After 3 hours broke that dough without any lumps.
  10. Then add the remaining jaggery, a pinch of cardamom powder and one fourth cup of water to it and make it to the consistency of dosa batter
  11. Then heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel
  12. When the oil gets heated pour a little amount of batter to it and let it deep fry.
  13. Turn the batter upside and let it till it gets a golden brown color
  14. Remove it from the vessel and put it in tissue paper to get rid of excess oil
  15. Now yummy karupatti paniyaram is ready..It has crispy outer portion and soft inner portion.
