Ingredients to make Crispy pan fried potatoes

  • Potatoes 3 big
  • Oil for frying
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Hing 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp or to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin seed powder 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 2 strings
  • Rice flour 1 tsp

How to make Crispy pan fried potatoes

  1. Boil the potatoes for 3 whistles and cut them into big chunks and keep aside
  2. In a pan add oil once heated add mustard seeds followed by curry leaves
  3. Add the potatoes and mix well.. Add salt and turmeric powder mix well .
  4. Once the potatoes getting roasted add all the other spices and mix well
  5. Add again 2 tbs of oil for roasting the potatoes . keep the flame on medium .
  6. Stir in between.. Once the potatoes got coated evenly. And it's done
  7. Serve with any rice of your choice or even as a starter
