  • potato-1 big
  • lotus stem-1
  • salt
  • cuminseeds-1teaspoon
  • turmeric powder-1teaspoon
  • black pepper powder-1tbsp
  • coriander powder-1tbsp
  • pinch of hing
  • ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
  • tomato puree-4-5 tbsp
  • water-1-1/2katori
  • milk-1/2katori
  • onions-2

How to make Aloo lotus stem in tomato gravy

  1. Par Boil diced potatoes and lotus stem.
  2. Heat oil in presure cooker.
  3. Add cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida and saute well.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
  5. Put onion paste,still and cook till it gets golden brown.
  6. Later add tomato puree and stir well.
  7. Sprinkle dried spice like turmeric powder,salt,pepper, coriander powder and stir to mix it well.
  8. Put a little water and patrolled veggies and keep stirring for a few minutes at low flame.
  9. Add a litle milk and cover with the lid.wait for 4-5whistles
