Eggless Potato Garlic Chilli Bombs

Ingredients to make Eggless Potato Garlic Chilli Bombs

  • For the bread rolls : 2.5 cups : Bread flour
  • 1/2 cup : Boiled, peeled and mashed Potato
  • 1.5 tsp : Instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup : warm water
  • 1/2 cup : warm milk
  • 1 tsp : Salt
  • 1 tbsp : Butter, softened at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp : sugar
  • 2 tbsp : Milk for brushing the rolls
  • For the filling : 3 tbsp : unsalted butter , Softened at room temperature
  • 2 tsp : Red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp : Mixed italian herbs/ Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp : salt ( avoid if using salted butter)

How to make Eggless Potato Garlic Chilli Bombs

  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned in filling section in a small bowl and set aside until use. In a bowl add the warm water , warm milk , sugar and mix in the yeast n keep it covered for proofing for 10 mins until frothy and foamy
  2. In a deep mixing bowl add the flour, mashed potato , salt and proofed yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough ..The dough will be slightly sticky
  3. Now dust the counter top or any flat surface with a tbsp of flour and invert the dough on to it ..and continue kneading until the dough is non sticky and smooth say for about 5 to 8 mins..
  4. Place this dough in a greased bowl and keep in a warm place covered for an hour or until well risen and doubled.. Once it doubles in size knock out the air by punching and take it onto a floured surface and knead for a min..
  5. Next weigh the dough and divide into 18 equal portions or just eye ball n divide.
  6. Now roll each dough ball into small thick discs and place little bit of butter n herb mix.. Now seal the edges by pinching them together as we do for the parantha
  7. Repeat the same with all the dough balls and place them in a ( butter ) greased baking pan. Now place this in a warm spot covered for an hour or until risen and doubled..
  8. Brush their tops with milk and bake them in an preheated oven 180 c for 20 to 22 mins or until golden.. Once they are baked to perfection , brush them with a tsp of butter ..
  9. Now these Potato garlic chilli flavorful bombs are ready to burst in your mouth ..
