ABOUT Beetroot cutlet RECIPE

It is made from leftover boiled beetroot which is healthy for kids especially.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 big leftover boiled beetroot
  2. 2 medium boiled potatoes
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. Half inch grated ginger
  5. 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander and Mint leaves each
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp amchur powder
  8. 1 small onion finely chopped
  9. 2 tbsp coarsely ground peanuts
  10. 1tbsp Maida
  11. 1 cup instant oats.

Instructions

  1. First grate the boiled beetroot and add pinch of salt. Mix well and keep aside.
  2. Then peel the boiled potatoes and mash it well
  3. Add finely chopped onion, green chillies, ginger, mint and coriander leaves, peanuts. Mix well
  4. Add salt and Amchur powder.
  5. Remove juice of grated beetroot and add grated beetroot in the potato mixture.
  6. Mix well everything. Keep aside.
  7. Take 1 cup of instant oats and grind it into fine powder. Remove and keep aside
  8. Mix Maida in little water and keep aside.
  9. Now make small cutlets from the potato and beetroot mixture. Then dip it in Maida mixture and then into oats powder.
  10. Keep all cutlets ready in this way and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
  11. Then it will become crisp after frying. Crisp from outside and soft from inside
  12. Remove from the fridge after 30 minutes and deep fry in hot oil.
  13. Serve hot with tomato sauce and green chutney.
