Ingredients to make Swedish Cardamom Cake

  • All Purpose Flour -1 1/4 Cups
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Eggs - 3
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup+1/4 cup
  • Cardamom - 1 tbsp
  • Milk -1/2 cup
  • Unsalted Butter - 50 gm
  • Salt - 1/8 tsp

How to make Swedish Cardamom Cake

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 °C. Sieve the flour, salt, baking powder for 2 times. In a mixer grinder powder the cardamom with 1/4 cup sugar.
  2. In a bowl add the eggs and 1/2 cup sugar, beat it well until the sugar gets dissolved. In meantime, add the butter and milk in a vessel. Heat it until the butter melts.
  3. Add the hot Milk to the egg mixture, quickly stir it well until it is well mixed. Now add the flour mixture & Cardamom powder. Stir it slowly until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture in well greased loaf tin and bake it for 35 mins OR till an inserted skewer comes out clean. Cool it on a wire rack .
  5. Slice and serve when still warm, Enjoy with a cup of coffee.
