Strawberry Gelato

Ingredients to make Strawberry Gelato

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Light Cream
  • 300g Fresh Strawberries
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 1 cup Sugar

How to make Strawberry Gelato

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cream and milk. Bring to boil and remove from heat.
  2. Grind strawberries in a food processor to make a puree.
  3. Add the strawberry puree into the milk mixture and keep aside.
  4. Whisk egg yolks and sugar together until creamy.
  5. Add the strawberry mixture into the egg yolk mixture.
  6. Cook in the top of a double boiler for 3-4 mins. Let it cool. Pour the custard into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for 3 hours.
  7. Stir the gelato in a food processor and freeze for another 3 hours.
  8. Serve with more fresh strawberries .
