ABOUT Paratha made with leftover khichadi RECIPE

This is a very good way of using leftover yellow moong dal khichadi.The parathas turn out very soft .I learnt this from my friend Ritika.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour - 2 cups
  2. Leftover yellow moong khichadi- 1 cup
  3. 1 Big Onion - finely chopped
  4. Green chilly - 2 finely chopped
  5. Coriander leaves- 3 tbspn
  6. Red chilly powder- 1/4 tspn
  7. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water for kneading
  10. Oil- 2 tbspn

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl....Put the leftover khichadi and mash well...
  2. Then put the wheat flour and other ingredients except oil and knead to form a dough.
  3. Keep aside for a few minutes
  4. Then make small balls and roll them to round shaped parathas
  5. Put on hot tawa....drizzle oil...Cook them from both sides till nice and brown
  6. Serve with curd and pickle
