About Malai kofta Recipe

It is a main course dish which is eaten with roti and rice

Malai kofta

Ingredients to make Malai kofta

  • 2to 3 potatoes boiled, smashed
  • 1 slab panneer smashed
  • 1 bread sliced
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of garam masala pd
  • Pinch of chat masala
  • coriander chopped
  • 1 tbsp kasturi methi
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1tsp oil
  • 3 onions long sliced
  • 3 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cashewnuts paste ( cashewnuts + milk )
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli pd
  • 1 tsp garam masala pd
  • oil for frying

How to make Malai kofta

  1. In a bowl add smashed panneer, potatoes mix well then add garam masala pd, coriander chopped, chat masala pd, bread pieces mix well then add salt, cornflour mix well then make round ball shape an deep fry it
  2. In a Kadai add oil fry onions, tomatoes fry till light pink then add ginger, garlic paste, mix well then add red chilli pd mix well then off the gas too cool then grind into smooth paste
  3. In another Kadai add butter fry kasturi methi then add the paste keep stirring till oil comes out then add cashew nuts paste mix well then add salt, garam masala pd mix well then add the koftas

My Tip:

If you dont want to fry koftas you can use the panyawaram to shallow fry the koftas
