ABOUT Chatpata Pasta 'e' Raita RECIPE

Presenting chilled chatpata pasta/macaroni raita. If you are a pasta liver, you will love this cold pasta in curd with bell peppers. You can make it in a jiffy and it tastes heavenly. HAPPY COOKING!!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 cup pasta/macaroni
  2. 2 cup curd
  3. 2 tbsp Sugar
  4. 1 tsp chaat masala
  5. 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
  6. 1 tsp Tamarind chutney(Saunth)1 tsp Tamarind chutney(Saunth)
  7. 1 tsp Mint chutney
  8. 1 tsp Rock Salt
  9. 1 tbsp bell peppers chopped(green and red)
  10. 1/2 tsp oil(for tempering)
  11. 1 pinch asafoetida (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Heat water in a deep vessel with salt and 1 tsp oil and when water starts boiling add pasta/macaroni and cook till al-dente (just cooked).
  2. Drain in a colander and rinse with water and keep aside.
  3. Whisk curd till smooth by adding little water or milk.
  4. Add in sugar and mix nicely.
  5. Add in boiled pasta/macaroni and mix nicely.
  6. Add in all the spices and chutneys.
  7. In a small pan heat oil and add asafoetida. Pour this tempering on the raita.
  8. Top it with chopped bell peppers and serve chilled.
