This is a sweet roti made out of jaggery & bengal gram dal. This is made during ugadi. It is a famous dish of karnataka

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups maida
  2. 2 cups bengal gram dal
  3. ghee
  4. 1 cup fine rawa
  5. 1 cup jaggery chopped
  6. Pinch of turmeric

Instructions

  1. In a cooker add jaggery, bengal gram dal fry for sometime then wen cooked cool it fr sometime then grind into smooth paste
  2. In another bowl add maida, sooji,turmeric, ghee an make a dough with the help of warm water & wrap it up with muslin cloth for 4 hours
  3. Then take a butter paper roll it like roti shape then add the stuffing inside an fold it an roll it like roti shape then put it in tawa then put ghee lll over the sides , and in the centre an shallow fry it.
