About Rajgire (Laddus) Breakfast Bars Recipe

Multigrain laddus are traditionally consumed with milk for ready to eat breakfast, this recipe is adapted to make granola bars from same ingredients.

Rajgire (Laddus) Breakfast Bars

Ingredients to make Rajgire (Laddus) Breakfast Bars

  • 200 gms quick cooking Oats
  • 200 gms amaranth flour
  • 180 gms salted butter
  • 225 gms jaggery powder
  • 45 gms fresh root ginger grated

How to make Rajgire (Laddus) Breakfast Bars

  1. Add oats to food processor and powder them.
  2. Cut cold butter into small cubes and add it to food processor along with grated ginger.
  3. To this add amaranth flour and jaggery powder. Pulse and add 2 tbsp. of water and pulse until it reaches crumbly dough.
  4. Take the dough onto slipat lined baking tray (12’X10’) and spread the dough evenly using rolling pin. Take a sharp knife and mark bars.
  5. Place the baking tray in pre-heated oven at 170C and bake for 25 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the tray lay in oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Gently reverse the tray over wooden surface or clean kitchen counter. Cut along the marked lines. Upon cooling store in air tight jar.

My Tip:

Add chopped nuts to improve protein content if required.
