ABOUT Mixed veg fried rice RECIPE

Fried rice can be made in various ways, and if made with vegetables it becomes nutritious too. With all the goodness of veggies, and tint of soya sauce this mixed veg fried recipe can be made. Cooking credits goes to my one and only sister.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Basmati rice - 1/2 glass
  2. Water - 1 glass
  3. Veggies
  4. Capsicum - 1
  5. Carrot - 1/2
  6. Potato - 1
  7. onion - 1
  8. Peas (optional)
  9. Masala
  10. Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  11. Garam masala - 1/4 tspn
  12. Pepper powder - 1/4 tspn
  13. Bay leaf - 1
  14. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tspn
  15. Green chilli - 1
  16. Crushed Garlic leaves - 5
  17. Elaichi - 2
  18. Salt
  19. oil
  20. Soya sauce - 6 tspn

Instructions

  1. Cook rice in pressure cooker for 1 whistle. Allow it to cool.
  2. Heat oil in pan, add crushed garlic, cumin seeds, green chilli, elaichi, bay leaf. Allow it to splutter.
  3. Now add chopped onions and saute till they turn translucent.
  4. Add chopped potatoes and cook for 5 min.
  5. Now add carrot and capsicum, saute and add salt .
  6. Cook for 10 min in medium flame till potatoes gets cooked and carrot, capsicum become soft.
  7. Now add chilli powder, garam masala, pepper powder. Mix well.
  8. Transfer cooked rice into the pan and mix well.
  9. Add soya sauce, salt and mix well. Cook for 5 min.
  10. Switch off the flame and mixed veg fried rice is ready.
