Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1 cup chana daal(bengal gram)
  3. 1 cup moong daal
  4. 1 cup urad daal
  5. 1 cup toor daal(pigeon eyes)
  6. Salt
  7. 1 tsp eno
  8. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1 onion finely chopped
  11. Few curry leaves finely chopped
  12. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  13. 1 cup spinach green chilli paste
  14. Oil for greasing..
  15. 2 cups churned curd
  16. 1 cup green mint coriander chutney
  17. 1 cup dates jaggery chutney
  18. 1 cup finely chopped tomato
  19. 1 cup finely chopped onion
  20. 2 tsp finely chopped coriander
  21. 1 cup aalu sev
  22. Chat masala to sprinkle..

Instructions

  1. SOAK RICE ,CHANADAAL ,MOONG DAAL ,URAD DAAL,TOOR DAAL EACH 1 CUP IN WATER FOR 5 HRS
  2. GRIND INTO FINE PASTE AND FERMENT FOR 8 HRS
  3. HEAT 2 TSP OIL IN WOK..ADD EACH 1 TSP CUMIN AND MUSTARD SEEDS AND WAIT TILL THEY CRACKLE
  4. NOW ADD 1 ONION ,2 GREEN CHILLIES,5 CURRY LEAVES...ALL FINELY CHOPPED..
  5. WAIT TILL THE ONIONS BECOME TRANSLUCENT
  6. ADD PINCH OF ASAFOEDIA,1/2TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  7. TRANSFER THE MIXTURE INTO FERMENTED BATTER. .
  8. NOW ADD SALT,2 TBSP GRINDED SPINACH GREEN CHILLI PUREE..
  9. MIX WELL
  10. GREASE THE MOULD OF APPAM TAVA WITH OIL
  11. ADD 1 TSP ENO TO THE BATTER AND MIX WELL
  12. POUR LADDLE OF BATTER IN THE MOULDS OF TAWA AND COOK
  13. COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MIN ON SLOW FLAME
  14. FLIP ALL THE APPAMS TO COOK ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE AND COOK ONLY FOR 1 MIN
  15. ARRANGE ALL THE APPAMS ON THE PLATE..POUR 2 LADDLES OF FRESH CURD ON APPAM
  16. POUR 2TSP GREEN MINT CORIANDER CHUTNEY,DATES JAGGERY CHUTNEY ON THE TOP..
  17. SPRINKLE FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS,TOMATOES ON THE TOP
  18. SPRINKLE CHAT MASALA,SALT ON THE TOP
  19. SPRINKLE AALU SEV AND CORIANDER ON THE TOP AND SERVE..
  20. READY TO HAVE HEALTHY PROTEIN APPAM CHAT...
