Healthy biscuits made with oats and whole wheat.

Digestive Biscuits

Ingredients to make Digestive Biscuits

  • Coarsely grounded oats powder - 3/4 cup
  • Whole wheat - 3/4 cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • butter - 60 gms
  • Milk - 2 tablespoon
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Digestive Biscuits

  1. Mix oats powder, whole wheat, salt, sugar and baking powder.
  2. Add the butter to it and mix with fingers till you get breadcrumbs like texture.
  3. Add milk to it and just combine to form a dough.
  4. Allow the dough to rest in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out dough into a thick sheet.
  6. Cut with a cookie cutter and place biscuits in the baking tray.
  7. Pre-heat oven at 180 degree centigrade.
  8. Bake biscuits for 15 minutes.
  9. Take out biscuits tray from oven and allow the biscuits to cool down completely in a tray.
  10. Remove biscuits from the tray and store in an air - tight container.
