How to make Spiral Cone Chaat

  1. Take a bowl, add flour, salt and some luke warm water. Knead the dough. Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Kneed for 2-3 minute. Divide in equal portion, roll with using plain flour. Make big chapatis and make long thin strips using a knife.
  3. Roll these thin strips around a cone mould which is to be used. Starting from pointed part to the broader part. Cover equally with the strips.
  4. Heat oil in kadai/wok on a gas. Deep fry the cones when oil is hot
  5. When it turns to golden brown. Keep it on an absorbent paper, deep fry all the cones. Cool it down and demould it.
  6. Take a bowl, add whisked curd and masala boondi.
  7. For the stuffing: Take boiled mashed potatoes, add salt, corn flour and mix well. Make small balls from it. Shallow fry it until it turns to golden brown in color. Keep it on an absorbent paper. Keep aside.
  8. In bowl add chopped tomato, onion, sev, murmura, chana dal, masala peanuts, chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala , amchur powder, salt if needed. Mix well and add 1 teaspoon of tamarind chutney, green chutney and curd in it. Mix well.
  9. Now take cone, fill prepared potato, pour tamarind chutney, green chutney, curd in the cone. Fill sev, murmura stuffing and then stuff dahi boondi in it. Pour curd, green chutney, tamarind chutney on it. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves. Serve it immediately.

My Tip:

Pour more chutney for better taste. You can bake the cone too by adding baking powder while kneading the dough. You can use any stuffing for filling.
