Ingredients to make Crispy Palak Pakoda / Crispy Spinach Fritters

  • 1 bunch baby Spinach cleaned and washed
  • 1 1/2 cup bengal gram flour / besan
  • 3/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to make Crispy Palak Pakoda / Crispy Spinach Fritters

  1. In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix well.
  2. Add a tbsp of oil, water and make a smooth thick paste the consistency should be like a Idli batter).
  3. Pour this over the spinach and mix well (No need to chop. If the leaves are big just tear them with hands).
  4. Heat the oil in deep pan and drop little palak mix in the oil.
  5. Fry till crisp and drain it on a tissue paper.
  6. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
