Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Vermicelli 1 cup
  2. Rava half cup
  3. Milk 1-2 cup
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Oil 4 - 5 spoon
  6. Chana dal 1 tea spoon
  7. Urad dal 1 tea spoon
  8. Mustard seeds half spoon
  9. Curry leaves 9 - 10
  10. Chopped onion 1
  11. Chopped green chilli 1
  12. Ginger half spoon
  13. Cabbage half cup
  14. Carrot half cup
  15. Capsicum 1
  16. Baking powder 1/4 - 1/2 spoon

Instructions

  1. At first take all ingredients in a pot.
  2. Roast rava on low flame till they turn aromatic. Then keep aside.
  3. Roast chana dal and keep aside.
  4. Roast vermicelli with a tsp of oil till they turn crisp and slightly golden brown. Then keep aside.
  5. In a bowl take roasted rava, vermicelli, salt, baking powder, and milk.
  6. Then mix everything very well and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile take 2tsp oil in a pan and heat.
  8. Add mustard seeds.
  9. Now add curry leaves.
  10. Add chopped onion and cook very well .
  11. After that cabbage, capsicum, carrot are added and cook properly.
  12. Then add ginger and chopped green chilli.
  13. Add salt as per taste.
  14. Now add chana dal, and urad dal.
  15. Cook everything very well.
  16. Pour it in a bowl.
  17. After 20 minutes add vegetable mixture to the vermicelli mixture.
  18. Mix everything and cover it with lid for 10 minutes.
  19. Grease some oil in bowl.
  20. Pour the batter into the bowl.
  21. Take water in a pan and boil.
  22. Take a bowl on steamer. You have to steam it for 10 minutes.
  23. After 10 minutes check it with knife. When it become clear then remove it from the gas.
  24. Allow to cool and turn out by knife on a plate.
  25. Serve vermicelli cake.
