Ingredients to make Dalia and Paneer veggie Patties

  • 1/4 Cup Dalia or Cracked Wheat
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup paneer, grated or crumbled
  • 1/2 Cup beetroot and carrot, grated
  • 1 small onion,chopped
  • A handful of chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp toasted breadcrumbs,for coating
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying

How to make Dalia and Paneer veggie Patties

  1. Wash the Broken wheat or Dalia well, blanch it in 1 Cup of hot water for nearly 5 minutes, strain.
  2. Now add everything with the Dalia except bread crumbs and oil in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture equally according to the size of the Patties you want and shape them accordingly with your palms.
  4. Coat them with the toasted bread crumbs ,this helps the patties to be fried without cracking or breaking.
  5. Shallow fry the patties in a pan till crisp and done on both sides.
