Paneer Tikki with creamy gravy

Ingredients to make Paneer Tikki with creamy gravy

  • 250g - paneer
  • 4 tbsp - bread crumbs
  • red chilli to taste
  • salt to taste
  • For gravy
  • 4 - tomatoes
  • 2 - onions choppped
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4tbsp - curd
  • 2 tbsp - cashew nuts paste
  • 1/2 tbsp - cumin powder
  • oil as needed
  • salt to taste

How to make Paneer Tikki with creamy gravy

  1. Mash paneer and add bread crumbs, salt and red chilli. Refrigerate for 10 minutes
  2. Soak cashews in milk for about 15 min or until ready to use.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp Oil in a medium size non-stick wok on medium to high heat, add onions and fry.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, ginger, garlic paste and green Chili , red chilli. and salt, cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir well and cook until oil separates.
  5. Add cumin powder and turmeric powder mix it well
  6. While onions/tomato Sauce is cooking, blend soaked cashews and milk in a blender until smooth.
  7. Add the cashew and milk mixture and mix well. There should be no lumps in the gravy.
  8. While waiting for the gravy to boil, add curd mix well over low flame for one minute.
  9. Sauté the paneer tikki in a pan over low flame for only 10 seconds then remove the pan add garam masala and add this to the gravy
  10. Serve with bread or roti
