Ingredients to make Onion pakora

  • 3-4 medium-sized sliced onion
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon gram flour
  • Pinch of hing
  • Pinch of fruit salt
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Deep frying
  • Water for making batter
  • Green chillies for serving.

How to make Onion pakora

  1. Slice onion, add cumin seeds and chopped chilli in it, keep it aside.
  2. Add spices-salt,chilli powder,garam masala ,turmeric powder,hing and mix well.
  3. Now add gram flour to it.
  4. Onion will leave water so mix properly with gram flour, if need add water in it also add fruit salt ,sprinkle water of drops and mix well.
  5. Now heat oil in kadai on medium heat , when oil is hot add spoonful of batter in it.
  6. When pakoras are a bit cooked, turn over.
  7. Deep fry till crispy and brown.
  8. Remove pakora from kadai on absorbent paper for absorbing excess oil.
  9. Make more pakoras like this.
  10. Now in same oil, fry slit green chillies .sprinkle salt on chillies.
  11. Serve pakora with green chillies.
