Ingredients to make Cheese filled Methi flavoured poha cutlets

  • Poha /flatten rice - 1cup /100 gms
  • Potato- 2 meduim size ,boiled
  • Cheese - 2 blocks ,cut into small cubes
  • OR .. Grated cheese 3 tbsp
  • Salt - -as required
  • Black pepper- 1 tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / methi leaves - 1 tbp
  • Cornflour / besan - 2-3 tbsp
  • Green chilli - 1 chopped
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder -1 tsp

How to make Cheese filled Methi flavoured poha cutlets

  1. Take a bowl, add poha and wash throughly for 3-4 times. Then drain water. Keep aside
  2. Now add boiled potatoes into the poha. Then add salt to taste ,black pepper,coriander ,cumin powder ,sugar (optional ). Chopped green chilli , dry fenugreek leaves or methi leaves , cornflour or besan .
  3. Mix everything well.
  4. Divide the mixture into 6-7 equal portion. Press little and make cavity ,put cheese cubes OR 1/2tsp grated cheese centre of the each cutlet..
  5. Now round it and shape like a cutlet.
  6. Heat a pan with 1tbsp oil..place poha cutlets into pan.
  7. Shallow fry both sides until golden brown.
  8. Place it on serving bowl...serve it with mayo, tomato sauce dip or mint-coriander Chutney.

My Tip:

Mayo-tomato sauce dip ---- take a small bowl ,add 4-5 tbsp mayonnaise and 2 tbsp tomato sauce and mix well...it is ready.
