Ingredients to make Puffed rice balls

  • puffed rice 3 cups
  • jaggery grated 1 cup
  • Ghee 2 tsp

How to make Puffed rice balls

  1. Dry roast the puffed rice (murmura) for five minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Take a pan and add the jaggery. Let it boil on a low flame. Add ghee and keep stirring.
  3. Once, it has melted, let it boil for a couple of minutes. Add the roasted murmura to it, mix well and remove from heat.
  4. Make balls of it and keep aside for sometime.
  5. Tasty murmura ladoos are ready.

My Tip:

Do not store immediately in a closed tin. Roasting the murmura gives crunchiness. Take care while making the balls, as it is hot.
