Ingredients to make Æbleskiver (Danish Pancakes) | Eggless Æbleskiver

  • All purpose Flour - 1 cup
  • Baking Soda - 1 tsp
  • Egg Re placer - 1 1/2 tsp + 1 tbsp water
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Buttermilk - 1 cup
  • Milk - As needed
  • Oil / Butter as needed
  • Blue berries - Few ( Optional)
  • Chocolate sauce/ Raspberry sauce to serve

How to make Æbleskiver (Danish Pancakes) | Eggless Æbleskiver

  1. In a bowl add Flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, egg replace diluted in water.
  2. Add butter milk and mix them well, Add extra milk to get the semi liquid consistency.
  3. Heat the Æbleskiver pan/ Paniyaram pan with some oil or butter drizzled oh the hollows.
  4. Pour a steel tsp full of batter in a single hollow do this for all the hollows, If you are adding a fruit filling Like I did blueberry fill only the 1/4 part of the hollow and then add the filling again top with the pancake batter.
  5. Here I used a skewer or any long thin stick will work.
  6. Using the skewers help flip the pancake carefully , so that cooked part is facing up and the uncooked part is down.
  7. Drizzle some butter or oil then cook the second side well.
  8. Once they are cooked from both sides remove them to a plate and serve them warm with any sauce or syrup of your choice with fruits topped.

My Tip:

They taste same as pancakes, you can add any fruit or berries of your choice.
