Ingredients to make Aloo Gobhi

  • Aloo - 1 medium size
  • Cauliflower - 1/2 kg
  • Tomato - 2 medium size
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tspn
  • Onion paste - 1 tspn
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tspn
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Sugar - 1/2 tspn
  • Green chilli paste - 1/2 tspn
  • Paanchforan - 3/4 tspn
  • Dry Red Chilli - 2
  • Ghee - 1 tbspn

How to make Aloo Gobhi

  1. Cut the potato in small cubes and the cauliflower in medium size florets.
  2. In a bowl along with the potato and cauliflower mix the salt, ginger garlic paste, onion paste. turmeric powder, sugar, garam masala powder, green chilli paste, chopped tomatoes and leave it for marination for 2 to 3 minutes
  3. In a pan add ghee. When ghee starts to get warm add paanchforan, dry red chilli
  4. When the ghee starts releasing smell add the mixture and cover the pan in low flame.
  5. Keep on stiring after every few minutes.
  6. When the potato and cauliflower gets soft remove from flame.
  7. Serve hot.
