Spicy Paneer titbits mixed with simple onion-tomato salsa which is too irresistible to ignore.

Recipe Ingredients

  • For the Marinade:--- 300-400g Paneer
  • 2 tsp green chilli-coriander leaves paste
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp chutney podina masala (MDH brand)
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying paneer
  • For onion-tomato salsa:---
  • 2 small onion chopped finely
  • 2 tomatoes deseeded and chopped finely
  • Chaat masala as per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Katori or Canapés

Recipe Preparation

  1. Cut paneer in equal-sized chunks. Mix all the ingredients mentioned under marinade and marinate paneer for 30 minutes at least.
  2. Shallow fry paneer gently till it lightly colored on all sides. Remove to a plate. Chop paneer in tiny chunks.
  3. Mix ingredients under salsa. Combine paneer with salsa and serve in katoris/canapés or as is.
  4. Sprinkle little chaat masala as garnish.
My Tip: The paneer can be grilled and rolled in wraps or flatbreads.
