ABOUT Broccoli Corn Appe RECIPE

Broccoli is a good source of Vitamin B1, magnesium, protein while corn has good fibre content.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Broccoli Florets : 8-10
  2. Corn : 1 Cup Boiled
  3. Potato : 1 Medium size boiled [ For Binding ]
  4. Onion : 1 Finely chopped
  5. Sooji / Rava : 3/4 Cup roasted
  6. Bread Crumbs / Corn Flakes : 2 tbsp for coating
  7. Green Chilly : 2 small finely chopped
  8. Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 tsp
  9. Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp
  10. Chat Masala : 1/2 tsp
  11. Cilantro [ Coriander Leaves ] : 2 tbsp
  12. salt as per taste
  13. Oil : 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Blanch Broccoli. In a large mixing bowl add potato, boiled corn, finely chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, broccoli churned in chopper, garam masala, coriander leaves & salt.
  2. Add roasted sooji spoon by spoon to the mixture.
  3. Form small balls of the broccoli corn mixture. Roll the balls over bread crumbs or cornflakes powder.
  4. Heat Appe Pan. Add a drop of Oil in every cavity. Place the broccoli corn balls in every cavity.
  5. Cover with Lid & cook for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes Flip the broccoli Corn Appe & cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Flip 2-3 times till you get crisp outer cover. Flame should be low throughout making Appe.
  7. Sprinkle Chaat masala to enhance the Taste.
  8. Serve Hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
