About Nankhatai Recipe

Melt in mouth soft and so delicious.


Ingredients to make Nankhatai

  • 1/2cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4cup besan
  • 1/4cup sooji
  • 1/2 cup chilled ghee
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1tsp crushed cardmom seeds
  • 1tbsp melon seeds

How to make Nankhatai

  1. Whisk sugar with ghee in a bowl till creamy and frothy.
  2. Add sieved flours in it.
  3. Add cardmoms and melon seeds too.
  4. Mix to make a soft crumby dough.
  5. Don't do too much work over it
  6. Just mix all the ingredients in flour.
  7. Take small dumplings fromthe dough and shape them like laddoos.
  8. Flatten them little n make × sign over all pieces with knife gently.
  9. Place them on greased baking tray.
  10. Set your oven at 180 degrees.
  11. Bake them for 10 to 12 mins or till they get light roasted brown colour.
  12. Take the tray off from oven .
  13. Let them cool on wire rack.
  14. Store in air tight box
  15. Enjoy with milk tea or coffee

My Tip:

Do not over work the dough.
