Mix dal and peas manchurian

Ingredients to make Mix dal and peas manchurian

  • 1 cup mix dal (chana, moong dal green and yellow, toor dal)
  • 1/2 Cup Green Peas
  • 2 table spoon ektra light olive oil
  • 1tsp- garam masala (grated ginger, kasuri methi, pudina dried, amchur, jeera powder, saunf)
  • Salt to taste- app. 2 tsp
  • 1 Onion
  • 5 -6 garlic chopped
  • 1 tspn chopped green chilly
  • 1tspn grated ginger
  • 2 tspn green and red chilly sauce
  • 4 tspn tomato sauce
  • 1tspn soya sauce
  • 1/2 tspn vinegar
  • Use green chillys dry roasted with salt on tawa and sweet corn boiled for garnishing
  • Salt to taste
  • And 1 tspn extra virgin olive oil

How to make Mix dal and peas manchurian

  1. 1. For manchurian balls wash all dals and soak them in water for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. 2. At the time of cooking remove extra water from dal and add green chilly, ginger, salt, garam masala, amchur, jeera powder, saunf, hing, kasuri methi and pudina.
  3. 3. Make a thick fine paste.
  4. 4. Now pour extra light olive oil in pan and add dal bater. Rost it till dried and became powdered.
  5. 5. Now add boiled green peas to it and cook for another 5- 7 minutes. Remove from flame. Keeo it aside .let it cool. After it get cool make small balls from it
  6. 6. Now for gravy add extra virgin olive oil in pan and add garlic, ginger and green chillys
  7. 7. Now add onion and cook till onion became pink
  8. 8. Now add tomato sauce and cook for 3 minute
  9. 9. Add chilly sauce , soya sauce and vinegar. Cook for 2 minute
  10. 10. Add salt and little bit of water cook for 2 minute and add dal balls to it and cook for 2 more minutes.
  11. 11. Garnish with green chillys and sweet corn and serve hot

My Tip:

Instead of olive oil you can use normal oil also but in lesser quantity. But add cream or malai instead otherwise balls get dried up. Garnish with spring onion and fried noodles for giving it chinese look.
