Ingredients to make Indo-Mexican Masala Pav

  • 2 buns
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 green capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • For cheese sauce: 1 cup milk
  • 4 tsp all-purpose flour
  • Half cup shredded cheddar cheese

How to make Indo-Mexican Masala Pav

  1. Bhaji(masala) preparation (for stuffing) 1. Heat 1 cube of butter in a pan, add the finely chopped onion then add garlic. Once the onion become soft, add the chopped tomatoes, cook till it is all mashed up.
  2. Add finely chopped capsicum, salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala. Add 2-3 tbsp of water and cook for few minutes till a tasty masala is ready. Add few drops of lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  3. Stuff the buns with the masala prepared. Heat a non-stick tawa and spread butter keep the buns for a few time till slightly brown.
  4. Cheese sauce: Heat a pan add milk and flour stir well, let it boil on medium heat coook till the sauce thickens add cheese, salt and pepper stir again until cheese melts. The sauce is ready. Pour the cheese sauce on the buns add little Masala from top and serve Hot!!
