Dhokla Patties

Ingredients to make Dhokla Patties

  • 1 large boiled potato
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 large piece of dhokla
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tsp maida
  • 1/2 cup (approx.)water
  • Handful Vermicilli(sevayian) to coat
  • oil to fry
  • You can use more veggies (handful of boiled pea kernels, capsicum etc.)
  • FOR GARNISH
  • Handful of boondi
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup

How to make Dhokla Patties

  1. 1.In a bowl take boiled ,peeled and grated potato.Add grated carrot and toss.
  2. 2.Add finely mashed dhokla, salt and green chillies.
  3. 3.Make a paste of these and give shape of patties.
  4. 4. In a bowl take Maida and add water to it form a batter of running consistency.
  5. 5.In another bowl crush seviyan and keep ready.
  6. 6. Now dip each patty in batter and then roll over seviyan to coat from all sides.
  7. 7.Deep fry in oil till golden and remove excess oil on tissue paper.
  8. 8.Garnish with boondi , curry leaf and enjoy with sauces. Best tastes when served Hot !!!

My Tip:

You can also make variations in seasonings and use chilli powder etc. I have not used .. I have only added green chilies of dhokla
