Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For the cake. 57gms of good quality bitter chocolate.
  2. 3/4 cup oil.
  3. 1 cup sugar.
  4. 1 large egg.
  5. For the ganache. Good quality dark chocolate 500 gms. One can add sugar if you want it a little sweet. Balance the sweetness with a pinch of salt. Roasted almonds for garnish.
  6. 2 cups all purpose flour.
  7. 1/2 cup cocoa powder good quality .
  8. 1 tbsp baking soda.
  9. 3/4 tsp salt.
  10. 1 cup coffee.
  11. 1 cup buttermilk.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Melt the chocolate. Cool and whisk in oil and sugar and then the egg. Add the sifted dry ingredients gradually alternating with coffee and buttermilk.
  2. Bake in a bundt pan for 30 to 45minutes.
  3. Melt the chocolate, cool and pour over cooled cake.
