Ingredients to make Pizza flavoured Idli Muffins

  • 1 cup Idli rawa
  • 1/2 Cup split Urad dal
  • 1 Cup corn,finely chopped Coloured Capsicums,olives,onions
  • 3 tablespoons Pizza sauce ( store bought)
  • 1 tsp Pizza seasoning or Oregano
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste

How to make Pizza flavoured Idli Muffins

  1. Soak the Idli rawa and urad dal separately overnight or for 4-5 hours.Grind the urad dal to a smooth consistency,add the drained rawa to the dal batter and mix till incorporated .Ferment for 3-4 hours. Your Idli batter is ready.
  2. Add the chopped capsicums,onions,olives, corn, pizza sauce, seasoning,chilli flakes and salt to the batter and mix properly. Leave few chopped veggies for the garnish .
  3. Pour into muffin moulds, sprinkle with some cut veggies ,oregano and chilli flakes. in sim.
  4. Steam them in a pressure cooker without the weight for 10 minutes ,the first 5 minutes in high and the next 5 minutes in low flame.Let them stay in the cooker for 2 minutes before unmoulding.
  5. Serve warm with some pizza sauce and enjoy.

My Tip:

Alternately they can be steamed in a steamer for 12- 15 minutes. Add the quantity of chopped veggies according to your tastes,capsicums more or olives less is upto you,keeping the total quantity as mentioned.
