ABOUT Kadai chicken with curry leaves RECIPE

This is my mother's recipe, which I learnt and is absolutely lip smacking.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 500 gm
  2. Chopped onions - 2
  3. Chopped tomatoes - 2
  4. Slit green chillies -6
  5. Curry leaves - 12
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  7. Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  8. Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Salt
  10. Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  11. Coriander leaves
  12. Red color (optional)
  13. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the chicken with ginger- garlic paste, masala powders, salt and a little oil.
  2. 2. Heat the kadhai, add oil followed by chopped onions.
  3. 3. Saute till brown, then add the marinated chicken and cook on a low flame.
  4. 4. Once the chicken is almost done, add the tomatoes, curry leaves and slit green chillies.
  5. 5. Add water to make a gravy, serve with coriander leaves.
