Ingredients to make Veggie Poha

  • 2 cups of poha
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 medium sized Capsicum
  • 4-5 beans
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1 Tbsp Peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4-5 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Bhujia namkeen/nylon sev

How to make Veggie Poha

  1. Take a pan. Add oil. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves, let them crackle.
  2. Add peanuts and sliced onion. Saute it.
  3. As the color of onions change to pink, add chopped potatoes.
  4. Cover it and cook for a minute. Stir in between.
  5. Add chopped capsicum beans and peas. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile wash poha and keep it aside. Drain the extra water.
  7. Now add red chilli powder turmeric powder.
  8. Saute it.
  9. Now add wet poha.
  10. Mix it properly.
  11. Add lemon juice.
  12. Mix it.
  13. Sprinkle bhujia namkeen and serve hot.
