Ingredients to make Kesar Kheer

  • milk 2 litre
  • Rice 1/2 cup
  • sugar 6 tbsp
  • kesar 5 strings
  • raisin 15
  • almond 12
  • cashew nuts 10
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • if you want to avoid sugar then add half cup of ground dates

How to make Kesar Kheer

  1. Boil the milk.
  2. Add rice and kesar in the milk. Keep boiling on slow flame till you get the rice cooked.
  3. Add dry fruits and sugar. Stir continuously, otherwise it will stick to the bottom of the vessel.
  4. Add cardamom powder. Serve hot or cold.

My Tip:

Instead of sugar, you can add dates. But, dates should always be used after your kheer has cooked completely.
