Sindhi Kadhi

Ingredients to make Sindhi Kadhi

  • 8 tbsp gram flour
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 1 drumstick
  • cauliflower- 200gms
  • potatoes- 2 medium size
  • ladies finger- 8 pieces
  • Cluster beans- 8
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp tamarind (imli)

How to make Sindhi Kadhi

  1. Heat 2 tbps oil in a deep non stick pan. Add gram flour roast till golden, then add red chilli, mustard seeds, cumin seeds.gently add 2 cups of water.
  2. Cut drumstick into 1½ inch pieces. Add in to the same pan. Let them cook
  3. Cut potato into big cubes , add and let cook, add cauliflower, cluster beans add to the pan and cook till tender.
  4. Add another 1½ cups water and mix. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a separate shallow non stick pan add bhindi and guar and sauté.Add this to the gramflour- veg mixture.
  5. When the vegetables are cooked, add turmeric powder, salt and then add tamarind pulp and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve hot with steamed rice.
