ABOUT Jam and Custard Pudding RECIPE

No bake pudding using simple ingredients found in every house, though its simple but it's tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. milk 2 cups + 2 tbsp
  2. sugar 4 tsp
  3. custard powder 1 tbsp, I used vanilla flavour
  4. Vanilla essence Few drops
  5. jam 2 tbsp - used mixed fruit jam
  6. gelatin 2 tsp + 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. First convert the jam into syrup consistency by using the double boiler method, it will melt by continuous stirring. Then add the 1 teaspoon of soaked gelatin (in water).
  2. Cool it and place into your desired mould or glass, put only half the mixture. Put the glass into refrigerator to set before pouring the 2nd layer.
  3. Boil the milk with sugar and add the custard powder mixed with cold milk. Stir and cook till a little thickened, lower the flame add the gelatin and vanilla essence. Mix well and take off the flame. Cool it without forming a thick covering over the custard.
  4. Pour the cooled custard into the refrigerated glass of jam jelly.
  5. Again refrigerate the glass and finish by topping it up with the remaining jam mix.
  6. Refrigerate until set, serve chilled.
