Instant Ras Malai .

Ingredients to make Instant Ras Malai .

  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 tbsp maida
  • 1tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp baking powder.
  • Few strands of Saffron
  • 2pods cardamom
  • 3-5 cups milk.
  • Sugar 1&1/2 cup or as per sweetness.
  • Sliced almonds, and pistachios.

How to make Instant Ras Malai .

  1. Heat milk in a pot add sugar, saffron strands, cardamom pods and let cook till it comes to a boil.
  2. In a bowl seive milk powder, baking powder, maida and mix all well.
  3. Add a beaten egg in the centre, and tsp ghee. Mix well using a spoon until combined, let it rest for 2-3 mins.
  4. Grease your palms and make small balls and flatten a little in the centre, do not make very big balls.
  5. Once all the balls are ready, add into hot boiling milk one by one. Do not mix, let it cook gently on low flame.
  6. It will increase in size. Cook it for 5 more minutes. Let it soak the sweet milk for some time.
  7. Gently transfer the rasmalai into another vessel. And now reduce the milk till it becomes thick. Once the milk turns into rabdi spread it over the rasmalai balls, and garnish with nuts.
  8. Serve chilled and add lots of nuts.

My Tip:

Nido milk powder gives better rasmalais.
