ABOUT Sweet Kachori RECIPE

A favorite in our house for "vrat" during festive days. It's a sweet savory snack and very filling.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 cup grated coconut
  2. 1/2 cup sugar (or as per taste)
  3. 2 tbsp cashew tukda
  4. 2 tbsp Raisins
  5. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  6. 1 finely chopped green chilli (or as per taste)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. For Outer Cover:
  9. 2 cups dehydrated potato flakes (or 3 large boiled potatoes)
  10. 4-5 tbsp singada flour
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Ghee/oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Combine potato flakes, singada flour and salt together.
  2. Add enough water to form a semi soft dough. Cover the dough to prevent drying out.
  3. Combine all the stuffing ingredients together.
  4. Keep ghee/oil to heat in deep saucepan for frying the Kachori.
  5. Make equal sized balls of dough and make a hollow in it. Put stuffing in the center of the dough and seal it well from all sides to form a ball. Dust them with singada flour. Shake off excess flour.
  6. Deep fry on medium hot oil/ghee till golden brown.

a very nice option during vrats..i am sure it is very filling as well!
