Ingredients to make Paneer Butter Masala

  • paneer cubes
  • tomato puree 4 tbsp
  • milk 2 cups
  • red chilli powder 1tsp
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • cumin seed powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • ginger- garlic paste 1 tsp
  • tomato Ketchup 1 Tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  • sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Fried onions - a handful

How to make Paneer Butter Masala

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of milk with ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, salt and sugar.
  2. Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add the fried onions and saute for a minute.
  3. Add the milk mixture to it and cook on a low heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Once done, add the rest of the milk and let it cook on a gentle simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add garam masala, kasuri methi , paneer cubes and let it cook for final a minute or two.
  6. Serve hot with roti or rice
