Mushroom and Paneer Tawa Pulao

Ingredients to make Mushroom and Paneer Tawa Pulao

  • rice vermicelli - 2 cups
  • onions - 1 , finely chopped
  • capsicum - 1 julienned
  • mushroom - 5-6 pieces , thinly sliced
  • paneer - cut into small cubes
  • salt to taste
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1tsp
  • Channa masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli sauce - 1tbsp

How to make Mushroom and Paneer Tawa Pulao

  1. In a bowl, add the rice vermicelli and pour boiling water on it just till it immerses the vermicelli. Cover and leave it for 10 minutes or until the vermicelli is done. You can drain the excess water, if any , later.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and saute the onions for a couple of minutes. Add a pinch of sugar to it to caramelize the onions.
  3. Throw in the mushrooms and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add capsicum, pepper powder, channa masala powder, green chilli sauce, salt and mix well.
  5. Once the capsicum is half done, add the paneer and saute for a minute.
  6. Finally, add the vermicelli and toss well.
  7. Turn off the heat and serve. This dish tastes great on its own.
