Chicken curry

Ingredients to make Chicken curry

  • chicken 1/2 kg
  • onion chopped 1 small
  • Bayleaf 1
  • For paste-
  • onion 2
  • ginger- garlic paste 1 tspn
  • dalchini small piece
  • Green cardamom 2
  • turmeric powder 1 tspn
  • red chilli powder 2 tspn
  • dhania powder 1 tspn
  • chicken masala 1 tspn
  • Green chilli optional 2
  • coriander leaves 1 tspn
  • tomato chopped 1 small
  • mustard oil 2 tbspn
  • salt as per taste

How to make Chicken curry

  1. First marinate chicken with salt, red chilli powder- 1/2*tspn and haldi.
  2. Heat kadhai add mustard oil 2 tbspn. When hot add a little sugar, when it bubbles add Tejpatta and onion chopped.
  3. Cook onion till golden brown then add the paste.
  4. Cook this paste for around 15 mins using little water otherwise the masala will burn.
  5. When its done add tomato and green chilli. Let it cook until tomato become mushy.
  6. Then add all powder masala and salt as per taste. Cook for few minutes until oil leaves from it.
  7. Then put chicken and mix it. Cover and cook until chicken tenderizes.
  8. Then add 2 cups water and let it boil for 20 mins. Garnish with coriander leaves.
