Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 1/2 kg
  2. Onion chopped 1 small
  3. Bayleaf 1
  4. For paste-
  5. Onion 2
  6. Ginger- garlic paste 1 tspn
  7. Dalchini small piece
  8. Green cardamom 2
  9. Turmeric powder 1 tspn
  10. Red chilli powder 2 tspn
  11. Dhania powder 1 tspn
  12. Chicken masala 1 tspn
  13. Green Chilli optional 2
  14. Coriander leaves 1 tspn
  15. Tomato chopped 1 small
  16. Mustard oil 2 tbspn
  17. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. First marinate chicken with salt, red chilli powder- 1/2*tspn and haldi.
  2. Heat kadhai add mustard oil 2 tbspn. When hot add a little sugar, when it bubbles add Tejpatta and onion chopped.
  3. Cook onion till golden brown then add the paste.
  4. Cook this paste for around 15 mins using little water otherwise the masala will burn.
  5. When its done add tomato and green chilli. Let it cook until tomato become mushy.
  6. Then add all powder masala and salt as per taste. Cook for few minutes until oil leaves from it.
  7. Then put chicken and mix it. Cover and cook until chicken tenderizes.
  8. Then add 2 cups water and let it boil for 20 mins. Garnish with coriander leaves.
