Ingredients to make Homemade Rose Water

  • rose (Red/Pink) - 1 (big)
  • Distilled water - As required

How to make Homemade Rose Water

  1. Wash the rose petals thoroughly and put them in a vessel. Pour the distilled water over the petals. Add just enough water to cover the petals. Set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. After 20 minutes, put the vessel on the stove over slow flame. Let the water heat ( Do not boil). Heat till the petals leave their color and start looking faded.
  3. Remove from the stove and let it cool down.
  4. Refridgerate for 2-3 hour.
  5. Strain and store in a clean plastic or glass bottle.

My Tip:

1. Store it in the refrigerator. 2. Use fresh roses for best results.

yes...It would be great if we can use mineral water or filtered water.Little apprehension about distilled water.
