ABOUT Sabudane ka halwa RECIPE

It is sweet dish which my grand mother taught me to cook.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sugar 2 to 3tbsp
  2. Milk 1/2 liter
  3. Sabudana (sago) 1/2 cup
  4. cashew nuts 2tbsp
  5. Rasins 2tbsp
  6. green cardamom 1 crushed
  7. khoya (mawa) 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Soak sabudana (sago) for 30 min in water. Then drain the water.
  2. Boil the milk, add soaked and drained sabudana and cook it on a low flame till milk is reduced to 1/3 and sabudana (sago) is done. Add milk if required to cook sabudana (sago) properly.
  3. Now add sugar, khoya, cashew nuts and raisins to it and cook it till it is dried and done.
  4. Adjust the sweetness with powdered sugar.
