Roasted Almonds & Strawberry Bars

Ingredients to make Roasted Almonds & Strawberry Bars

  • 1 Cup (225g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 85 gms Butter room temperature
  • 1 and 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Warm Milk
  • 1 Egg room temperature
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 200 gms Roasted Almonds
  • 400 - 500 gms Strawberries halved

How to make Roasted Almonds & Strawberry Bars

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Grease a 9 -inch square pan. Keep aside.
  2. Take a bowl, and whisk in the flour and baking soda together.
  3. Take another bowl add the granulated sugar and butter, beat it together until it is light and fluffy. Then add in the egg and vanilla, mix until incorporated.
  4. Gently add the dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with warm milk until it is mixed. (Alternate in batches so that you always start and end with flour)
  5. Then fold in the roasted almonds. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Cover the batter with strawberries on top- cut side down.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or so. Then reduce temperature to 165 degrees and bake for 40 - 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the tester comes out clean.
  8. Once cooked, remove from the oven and set it to cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve warm to enjoy it at its best.
